Mr. Cameron Mahan
My name is Cameron Mahan and I am the principal of Lacey’s Spring School. I consider it a privilege to serve the community and school in this capacity. I want your child to have a great educational experience at Lacey’s Spring School. The Lacey faculty and staff care about every student and we will do our best to work together, with your help, to be successful. We believe each student has potential, and we embrace the opportunity to maximize it in every student.
I grew up in the Lacey’s Spring community. I went to school here and I can still name my teachers from kindergarten to eighth grade. I spent many afternoons at the baseball park and I played basketball in the library, which used to be a gym. I would like to thank my mom because her service in the community has given me a passion to serve as well. There are numerous friends and familiar faces throughout the community. If I don’t know you, I look forward to meeting you. Together we can help Lacey’s Spring School continue to be successful.
I am married to Heather Mahan, who worked at Lacey’s Spring School for 12 years. We have four children (Cooper-11, Luke-8, Rossi- 6, and Bo-4). All our children are going to Lacey’s Spring School with me this year! We will be involved in community sports/activities, and we look forward to seeing you at various events, on a ballfield or in a gym. My family and I want to build relationships with you, both in school and outside of school. We are excited to compete and cheer as Lacey’s Spring Eagles together with you.
I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I attained my Masters degree and Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University. This will be my 18th year of work in the Morgan County Schools system. I feel at home at Lacey’s Spring School and I am happy to walk the halls once again.
With love and sincerity,
Cameron Mahan
